because he had a girlfriend. They ended up breaking up a few months later, then a few months after that we started seeing each other again. It has been about a year since we started seeing each other again but we aren't committed to each other. I'm not sure if he'll ever fully commit to me, do I need to ask for commitment from him, or should I just walk away?

Never ask for commitment, because that will scare him off for good. Believe me, it's happened, and the results were awful. Just try to keep it cool, not too steamy or emotional, and see how it goes on for awhile. If it still doesn't go anywhere, try to forget about him, and look for another guy.

If these sre your only two options leave. You shouldn't have to ask for a commitment, he should just give it to you. If you two are just messing around with eachother and others, he won't give it to you until knows the commitment will be returned.

yes ask him and if he gives you any type of excuse to not commit then leave..sounds like he might just be with you just because he doesn't want to be lonely....

You should definately let him know what you exoect from the relationship. If what he expects is not the same then you both should move on.

if you feel that you have a special bond then go for it but if he is the "player" type then your best bet is to walk away. save yourself from the heartache
