Race is not a factor in determining your taxes. There are educational allowances or deductions available and you can learn about them at the following link for IRS publication 17 which covers most every thing that you want to know about Federal income taxes.

You may be able to take advantage of the lifetime learning credit or the tuition and fees deduction on your tax return at the end of the year. Go to http://www.irs.ustreas.gov/publications/p970/index.html to read more about it. Use form 8863 to calculate it. It is based upon how much you paid for your tuition and how much your income is.
