My friend has a ford focus and the stereo features mp3 capable but we have no idea what that means!

You are able to play your mp3's on the car stero. Mp3's are an audio format from your computer.

It could be one of two things. It may have a USB connector for plugging in an MP3 player to play it through the car stereo system or more likely it can play CD data disks with MP3 music on them.

It would not indicate an input jack since that would mean you could plug any audio device headphone output into it.

You can convert those audio sized songs from WMA (or whatever your music system is called) and convert them on to your computer into MP3 songs. Then burn them on to your Cds and play them in a car that supports the MP3 (disk) formats, which means, more songs, more music, and a CD that WILL hold more songs. Nonetheless, though, certain disks your disk player in the car might not read.

My Fiance works for Mazda and all of their stereo's are MP3 compatible, it is a CD player that will play burnt compact files from a CD which can hold up to 500 songs.DONE www.mazda.co.uk - sorry about the plug :)

It means if you have an mp3 cd, it can be played on the player in your car. Or you can probably plug an Ipod or an mp3 player to the player in the car.

it means one of a few things.....it means you can play mp3 disks(which can hold over 100 tracks), you can hook up an mp3 player via line in jack, or you can hook one up via audio cables, or has a dock of some sort like a usb dock (like my JBL which allows me to hook up my mp3 using a usb chord or a usb drive ). but in either case once you figure out wich it is you have just talk to the guys at you local best buy or circuit city and they should be able to help you get started. or just ask another question on yahoo lol.
