We have mice in the house and it's not even an old house. Just curious.

definitely. they can be a carrier of some parasites that is very deadly when human comes in contact with them. these parasites maybe excreted thru their urines or feces. i could only remember one parasite its leptospira, but im sure there's several more.

they carry diseases just as rats do. Plus they get into every thing and destroy a lot of things. They can chew threw wires and other things. This can cause fires, etc... They can urinate and drop feces into your food which can cause disease( i think it's called yellow fever but I'm not sure) They can do a lot of damage to your home too.

The most threatening health issue with mice is their ability to spread Salmonella bacteria in their droppings.
