Ah, forcing people to convert or die...Just like the Good Ole' Days! There's nothing like a little violent extremist action to get the old blood pumping. I think the military would come down hard on any such movement. I know there's alot of service-folk who are Christian, but the general's are seeing the unholy mess Bush has made and are starting to listen when people say he's an extremist. If such a 'holy war' broke out, I'd be helping to make fire-bombs to fight against it.

shinai_inaozuke,
'Christians: if there was a holy war to remove all non-christians from America, what would you do?"
I am against religious persecution. In America, there cannot be, unless the Constitution is changed. The countries that are doing this are Muslim nations. So I do not have to look far for it. My influence upon the stance I take are the Bible, and Foxe's Book of Martyrs.
I know that these days Muslims are the perpetrators of their extremism, not all, but enough. And I think that if there were any Muslims about to take Allah into their own hands, the order of the day should be shoot to kill. I think that this is understandable.

Well, that would be a violation of the Constitution, state law and the UN Declaration of Human Rights. The government would/should step in.

I'm a Godless American. It does seem that we are heading towards a theocracy here so i have already given this much thought. I would hope there would be time for me to leave. According to Rushdoony(i think) they just want to put as all into camps rather than kill us like they used to. I would just hope they would allow for us to leave the country if we wished before other countries started dropping bombs on America for what they were doing.

Mind you, as an evangelist myself, I see absolutely nothing wrong with 1.) teaching children the Bible and 2.) saving people to Christ.
However, I *do* see something wrong with forcible takeover by Christians. If Christians are voted into office en-masse, that's fine and dandy... but anyone would be a fool to believe that Christians (that is, anyone who truly reads and follows the Bible for themselves, and aren't spoonfed doctrine while adults) would take over the U.S. and drive non-Christians out. People acting in the name of Christianity might do so, but the saved wouldn't.
I mean, look at Peter, Paul, Stephen, every last disciple, and Jesus Himself. Did they attempt to drive the Jews from Capernum? From Galilee? From Nazereth? From Jerusalem? Did they try to drive out the Romans? No. Not a single disciple, not a single area.
And hence, from real Christians, you can expect the same kind of actions as Jesus and the disciples. From the "wolves in sheep's clothing", you can expect such hostilities.
And I would do the very same thing I do toward Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, Mormons, Christian Science, and Islam... preach against it.
And to Gino_ggg... yes, we do believe in a holy war. But note, that it is not *us* who initiates it. It is you. You, and those like you, will kill us and behead us, en-masse, because we *are* Christians, and refuse to bow down to the one who will lead you... and we will not lift a finger against him or you. When this happens, there will not be a single Christian on earth at that time. Because of that, God's 'restraining factor' (so to speak) will no longer hold Him back. God Himself will avenge us. And then Christ will lead every last one of us from the dawn of time, to the very last one who died, against those of you who are left at Armageddon.
So, as long as we live, you haven't a single thing to worry about... it's what happens when we stop living that might be disconcerting to you.

Many christians do believe in a "holy war". The book of revelation describes such a war and many christians believe it.
I think that anyone who advocates the mass extermination of human beings is a sadistic maniac...like hitler.

Yes, I would fight to protect myself and the people I love. Even if protecting the people I love meant running from them. (Most of the people I love, with the exception of my husband, are Christians, so in this hypothetical situation, they'd be trying to kill me.)

interesting question. as a non-christian id fight to protect my loved ones. however i dont understand how christians could justify "holy war" without direct say so from god. because without his direct say so, they are killing in the name of god for a reason not given by god but by man. which would be murder, and thus a sin. i notice how christians like to turn everything in the bible around to better suite them instead of reading it how its written.

Such a war would be illegal in a country that allegedly and theoretically respects all religions.
Anyway, I would do nothing, because I don't live in the USA (if that's what you mean by "America"). So there's nothing I could do...
