Hi Rhonda, pain control could be the first thing you need that will make your life a lot easier and might help your frame of mind. There are non-narcotic pain-relief alternatives that can help your pain. I take 800 mg. of Aleve and a 1000-mg. flaxseed oil capsule every night at bedtime for daily pain management and take tablets of Arnica, a homeopathic herb, whenever I have flareups. Check out the links below for more information. Best wishes to you.

I was diagnosed a little over a year ago, and I get irritated EXTREMELY easily. I began experiencing symptoms in my teens and they just got worse over time. I snap at my husband, my mom and dad, even my dog and cats. The tiniest thing will set me off, so I understand how you feel. I like you have tried to stop completely or at least tone it down, but it really feels like there is no solution. My doctor prescribed Cymbalta to help with the norepinepherine production in my system to control pain symptoms. I was started off at 60mg and my pain was improved, but my anger just kept escalating. Finally I talked to my doctor about this particular symptom and she increased my dose to 120mg and it seems to have helped slightly. I still get ticked off easily, but it's not as "severe" as it was previously. You may want to try talking to your doctor about this symptom and maybe an adjustment of your medication (if you're taking any), or a medication to supplement your current therapy.

I know that this is just rehashing what I've done, but hopefully it gives you an idea or two. I feel for you. Good luck!

they claim fibro doesn't have a cause. i think it's viral. viral infections do pass the blood brain barrier and cause the serretonin and dopamine to act crazy. you may even be lacking or overprocessing the two. changing your diet might help. try a diet for diabetics and see if you improve.

have you been tested for diseases in which firbro is a symptom?

hcv is not something doctors actually test for (the antibodys). ususally they do standard blood labs and with hepatitis c, the alt and ast levels are not always elevated.

i'd ask and get a test just to be sure.

good luck!

Alot of chemicals are out of balanced in your body and maybe its causing you some depression and or agitation.
Your medical Dr. cand provide you with some meds to help controll this problem. You husband and children are important to you and I,m sure that you don,t want to feel this way towards them so my suggestion is that you tell your Dr. about how you are feeling and allow him or her to treat you also for this symtom. You need to have a peacefull atmisphere to be as healthy as you can be, as stress can cause flare ups. In the same token your family deserves to have a wife and mom thats calmer and not lashing out at them all the time, this can cause damage to your children and your marriage. So like I said talk to your Dr. and get some help with this symtom also.
