whenever you feel ready, here in greece, family doesnt allow to the kids to go away easily. we still stay at home till the wedding, unless we have to work to another city or something like that. there is also a financial problem, its not easy to maintain a home by yourself.
i would say, whenever you know how to do the basics like cleaning and cooking, they sound simple but they arent, and whenever of course you have a stable job and can afford a house.

You should be employed at 18 or soon thereafter. Once you save up 6 months of living expenses, you should move out. Honestly, this shouldn't take you more than 6 months if your parents aren't charging you anything to stay at home. You should be supporting yourself soon as soon as possible. You should learn to live on a budget, not live off your parents until you have a comfortable lifestyle. It'll teach you how to live in a crunch, should you ever find yourself suddenly unemployed or something else. And it will prepare you to grow up.

Honestly, parents don't want you to stay home. They may not be bothered by you being there, but they want to know that they raised a responsible child and someone who is not dependent on them.

You will never truly know what it is to take care of yourself, until you do it. If you want to be productive for your family, it's better to start earlier than later.

The best age to move away from home is when you feel ready too and also when you have a good job and enough money to support yourself.

That depends on when you can support yourself. Try and save while still living with your parents. When you live on your own it can get lonely and youl find that you will start going out more often. But its fun and a chalenge. You also learn alot about yourself when you you move out. take into account all the things you would need on a monthly basis eg toothpaste, milk tea coffee sugar shampoo cleaning materials food entertainment.

I moved away when I was 19. Joined the military.
If you have a good paying job and can afford everything that comes with having your own place I would say now (depending if you are 18 or older)

In Los Angeles, its no easy task. My best suggestion is to work, and save as well as build credit steady until you are 25, when you know that you have the money saved, and you can afford somewhere to live.

Aim for a house, as it shows you can be stable.
