It's been almost a year since my ex and I broke up and I am still not over him. I still think about him constantly. Am I pathetic for being this way or is this a normal reaction?

to be honest, it will take a very very long time before you get over him, a year is nothing. Depending on how long you two were dating will even take longer for you to get over him. You will always have a peice of your heart that has him in it, if you want him to or not. But what it is your choice is how much of a part of your heart are you going to let this guy have. You need to start dating others, going out and realizing that there are guys that have simillar things such as your ex did that you liked and that alot of those guys will even have more for you to like about them then your ex. You feel like you can never find another that will add up, but honestly i promise you that you are wrong. You guys broke up for a reason and you need to just look at more on what he didnt make you happy on, and focus on those bad things about him and what you learned from that relatioship, ever relationship we all go through as a lesson to learn from. Once you find out what it is, it will build and streangthn your next one. Things that you did wrong and you could of done different now you know, things that he did wrong and should of done different now you know. Learn from this, and in time you will get over him, it might take a long time but once you find that you were meant to be with someone else you will find it easier to forget about your past.

Thats not rediculous. What you need to do is go out with your friends more, either alone or with a group. This will get you introduced to new people. Soon you'll see what is out there. there are so many different kinds of people out there. You need to see what is out there. You'll be fine.

You are not pathetic.. its just a part of the healing process.. Keep yourself busy so you won't be at home pondering about him.. get out there and enjoy life.. take charge of your life.. and be a better person.....
believe me.. you will eventually get over him.. its a slow process.. and you need to take one day at a time....
