I have heard that if we deport all of the illegal aliens we will lose all of the jobs they did like farming, gardening, and other manual labor jobs that us white people wont do that America will fall into a horrible state because we need all of those vegetables. But wait wont we also be 11 million people less? how many vegetables is that?

Lets see, if we get rid of the illegals, that will be how many job openings? When they all went on strike that day, all I saw was businesses that needed to hire new people. It also showed the government clearly who they needed to fine. It also made it real easy for the government to round them up and ship them out, but they are too worried about pissing a few people off instead of doing what the law says to do. So next time they go on strike or protest, go to your nearest business and see if they are missing anyone, if they aren't, they are a good American business, if they are, you know not to shop there anymore unless they fire that person and hire an American. So if you don't have a job, just wait until we try to pass an immigration law again that they don't like, then go to your nearest farm and you can get a job right away, since they will have many openings.

Unfortunetly, it's the very presense of the illegal workers that has cause wages for field work/manual labor to dip so low that American workers are unwilling to take the positions. The illegals are desperate for any kind of work, and will work for slave wages. They can afford to live this way by piling 10 people in a space meant for 2 and dividing the costs. Employers have found that they can offer illegals pitiful (illegal) salaries, far below the federal minimum wage to work OFF THE BOOKS. An american will do the same work, but ON THE BOOKS, for at least minimum wage. There reduced labor costs are passed off to you- the consumer in the form of cheaper produce, goods and services. If we ship off the illegals, the employers will have to hire legal workers for a legal wage, thereby driving up the costs of goods & services. A price I for one, am willing to pay for the sake of slowing the tide of illegal immigration. I'm not against immigration at all, when it is done in a legal manner. My husband is an immigrant. He paid his money, filled out his forms, and went through all the application processes and WAITED HIS TURN. He's spent thousands of dollars to become a legal citizen, only get the same rights as someone who SNUCK IN! That's not fair or just.

Don't you understand that even if we send them back it will create such a problem south of the border that we will have to send them aid (food, money, medical assistance, etc...) AND then we will spend more for our vegetables too, due to the increase in labor costs and production costs.
I'm suprised there isn't an illegal alien union to push for more rights for them. (HAHAHAHAHAHA)

The country would be just fine without all the illegals. We got along fine before they came, we would again. I don't remember ever going to McDonald's and them not having any employees there. Americans worked there and would again. I think that's the stupidest argument supporting illegal immigration....the they do the jobs Americans won't do. That's just not true.

well both white and the black americans can do those jobs. they will require at least minimum wage to do them or more. it is not that real americans wont do them, they just wont them for little pay like the illegals.

LOL.....there are plenty of people who will do those jobs. The difference is they will want to get paid at the very least minimum wage. That is the problem.

if they were all deported at once, then obviously there would be a serious period of adjustment. but since they will be deported gradually, we would gradually be able to fill their jobs and the vegetables would get picked.

There are Americans qualified to pick carrots. The problem is, they can't reach them from their high horses
