Well , I think maybe it is the format issure, and Windows dvd maker can't support all the video format.Using dvd -rw is nothing wrong with your video burning , both dvd-rw or dvd-r are ok, threy are all writable discs! So I think what you should do is chang another better program to help you , now I am using rz dvd creator , works fine , inexpensive , if you will ,you can have a try !Hope it could help you!

The above answers are correct. The best for movies that you want to keep are the DVDR. There is another factor that makes a difference. If you want to record a movie for quality you should adjust your pixel rate and it will become more vivid but you need to be careful because when you increase the rate you decrease the time to record. Get the maximum amount and make the quality better and you will be happy with the outcome. It will become more apparent to you when you go to HDTV. you will notice the difference much easier. use DVDRW to record daily shows your not interested in but once.

Right. The "-RW" suffix indicates that with the right burner, you can record on the DVD multiple times, while the "-R" indicates that the DVD can only be written on once, by a "minus R" burner.

THE ANSWER ABOVE ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION. AS FOR WHICH IS BETTER DEPENDS ON THE PROJECT. IF YOUR GONNA RECORD A MOVIE USE A DVDR PRETTY SURE IF YOU KEPT ERASING IT THE MOVIE YOU ENDED LEAVING ON THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER QUALITY IF IT WAS THE ONLY ONE COPIED ON IT. HOPE THIS HELPS. I ONLY USE DVDR TO RECORD MY MOVIES.
