Somebody is always going to tell you that something you're doing is a sin, whether its dancing, singing, drinking, sleeping in on Sundays, whatever. So don't worry about it, and get married wherever you want.

Marriage is brought about by the legitimately manifested consent (vows) of a properly qualified bride and groom. Among other things, this means that the bride and groom are the ministers of the sacrament of marriage. Although people typically say the Priest married us, that's incorrect. The Priest hasn't married anybody - he's a celibate. The Priest (or decon) only serves as an offical witness for the Church; and bestows blessing onto the marriage.

In order for the marriage of Catholics to be validly established, spouses (Man & Woman) must: (1) not have any impediments to marriage; (2) follow the proper form of the sacrament; (3) have the proper capacity to exchange consent and do so freely and unconditionally; and (4) consent to what the Church intends by marriage, that is: Fidelity, indissolubility, and openness to children.

I don't think so, as a matter of fact in the old testament people would just have sex and that was the act that would marry them, they would hold a ceremony at times but not always, in Gods eyes they were already married. Getting married in a church is all a smoke screen to me.

No, and a church isn't the building, its the people, so the location doesn't really matter, cuz the building is just the place where the church meets!

No, sin is a purely religious concept. Most people don't believe in it judging by their behaviour.

I don't see any reason why it would be, but I don't know for sure. You can worship anywhere so you should be able to get married anywhere.

If you believe God is with you & that God created the earth...how could it be considered a sin.
