Why is it that being a hindu is far more accepted than being orisa, i.e. you are always associated with voodoo. Why isn;t it as accepted?

The african has choosen for it to be that way. He is not however to be blamed for the start of it.
Anything black is always considered to be unaccepted.
The thing is people always fear what they do not understand. People always associate voodoo with obeah. However obeah is having to do with God so i do not understand why there is a problem.
We have to bring it in to the spot light now and not be ashamed of who and what we are.

I think there is more possitive information out there about hinduism. Maybe you can help by being a good influence in the lives of people who doubt you because of your religion. Change some minds! Good luck

b/c of movies.i have never seen a movie depicting voo-doo in a positive way.on the other side i have never seen Hinduism portrayed in a negative way,so most people go with the familiar.
