Ugh, I forgot the logic disclaimer: Use logic, not CIRCULAR logic, to back up your disagreements...

once again, excellent
we are so pre occupied with death or afterlife we miss the value and preciousness of this life
all we need to do is stop, smell the roses and look just how beautiful each flower is, all by itself and stand in awe of nature's beauty...I doubt it is worried about the next life, after all it's flowers are so it can reproduce and continue it's existence in other plants for eternity
our preoccupation with the afterlife trivializes this life
I value my life, I want to go with what I have and know now, not argue about what is unproveable and not worth fighting and dying over...
great quote!

Well, it seems you can't give meaning to death if you don't even have a meaning for life, in a general sense. I don't think anyone understands "death"... some of us accept it as part of life, the ending part, but still a part of it. But to fully understand it, I think you would have to understand all aspects of life. And I just don't see how our mortal minds can handle all that info.

Yes. That Confusius was pretty clever.
I think it is important to try to reach some understanding for what we do know, and peace with what we don't know. And forgiveness for others on their journies or lack of them.
Part of the value of getting older is perspective - and a longer view-- to sort what is garbage and what works.
And still have time to play some more.

Very much so. If there is no understanding of life, then how can there be an understanding of death, which is a part of life?

No. You can understand anything...if you are willing to get your answers from God. God is very willing to give us answers...especially questions pertaining to salvation.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

While you are not able to serve men, how can you serve spirits... While you do not know life, how can you know about death? 100% agree!!
