I've had the same thing. It's usually because of how your individual body metabolizes the chemicals in the lager, even if the chemical you're reaching to isn't the alcohol. It's strange that you don't get hangovers from the real stuff. Maybe there's a certain ingredient only present in the non-alco kind you're drinking. Take a read of this article if you want the science of it.

This doesn't sound like a classic hangover. That is caused by dehydration created by alcohol. If you don't normally get one drinking alcohol then it is unlikely that the feeling you get is a 'hangover'. It's more likely to be something in the drink that you are either allergic to or disagrees with you. My advice is to try a different brand to see if the same thing happens. If so avoid the stuff, if not then it's that one.

To avoid hangovers drink water before going to bed and take a glass with you. If you do get a hangover it's cause is a lack of potassium in the system caused by dehydration. A good cure is to blend a banana and a teaspoon of honey in half a pint of milk and drink it. That's loaded with potassium and should cure you quickly.

have u ever heard of a food hangover?... it's like that,
the non-alcoholic stuff has a tonne of preservatives, addatives etc. so ur gunna wake up with a headache. the diet/non alcoholic allternatives are usually just giving u another set of problems. DRINK water and change drinks pronto.

No, it won't give me a hangover! Having alcohol in your system will cause you to become dehydrated, meaning you'll have hangover!! Happy drinking!

Too much sugar or saccharine in the drink can give you a headache but not a hangover.

because I spiked your drink, you light weight. Get real and be a man, 8 pints of larger and 6 large whiskys, that will give you a hangover.

Hangovers are caused by de-hydration. Which means that there is probably another ingredient in the larger that makes you p1ss a lot...i think.
