People are not going to change what they believe, people are just looking for excuses to go on believing what they believe is true and feel completely guiltless about it. God created the earth in one big bang. End of story. Does it really matter what other's think? Everyone is so busy bashing eachother between creations and evolutionists, athiest and thiest. I'm pretty sure God just wants us all to get a long. Can't we just be nice to eachother and stop all the theatrics??? I think we can. Louis Armstrong said it best. " What a wonderful world this could be."

What I was TRYING to do is to find a middle ground between. And I found even more enraged people. Obviously we cannot all get a long. It's too bad.

I will never get sick of the debate because it is the foundation for building your faith. I am glad you used the word believe in your question because that is what it comes down to. (Thiest or athiest). Both evolution and creation are faiths/religions, but I think the Thiests are more honest about it being a faith. One is right and one is wrong. They are incompatable. I also disagree that people are not going to change what they believe. I grew up believing everything in my school textbooks and now have no doubt of Creation and the Creator.

You have good intentions, and i agree, i am sick of the whole debate. However... there is a truth and instead of bickering over beliefs we need to work together to understand the truth based on it's merit (evidence and such). Currently the most likely candidate for truth (although based on what you stated in the question i have a feeling you will disagree with me) is evolution.

There's no doubt that evolution has, and continues to occur. The bible is a book of guesses and unless you make the presupposition that god exists (which hasn't been supported by evidence and is highly unlikely) and exists in the form and personality of the biblical god, it is false.

I'm tired of the debate, i wish we all COULD agree, but since ego's are at stake in the camp of the religious I'm afraid this may never be the case.

By the nature of scientists, they seek not only information, but wish to also educate. So when scientists have proven evolution, and have a very good theory of human evolution, they also wish to educate people on the subject. This also spills over to those who have been educated (they wish to further educate). The same is true for those who have been educated, not by science, but by religion. So both sides want to educate the other on what they know, and they become more and more frustrated when the other side doesn't want to learn, but only teach their side.

Yes, it would be nice. However, I fail to get along with people who state things such as "God created the world in one big bang. End of Story."

Thats not the end of the story. I dont accept your beliefs that God created the earth and humankind. It does matter what others think - because once you sanction your views as being the only right viewpoint, all others become wrong viewpoints...and thats not right.
Youre "pretty sure? of what God wants....but I KNOW he does not and cannot exist, as described by Christianity....

The evolutionists know they are right, and have the scientific data to back it up; and we know that, sooner or later, the theists will have to cave in and admit they were wrong or be complete crushed and rendered irrelevant by the sheer weight of the evidence.

It happened with the theists' assertion of a flat earth.

It happened with theists' claim of the geocentric universe.

It happened with the theists' insistence that demonic possession is the cause of disease and mental illness.

In every one of a MILLION challenges to theistic dogma by scientific inquiry, science has kicked theism's doughy, pimply @ss up and down the block.

Sooner or later, you'll have no choice but to acknowledge the obviousness of the truth, just as your Believer brothers before you did. And we naturalists are sick and tired of coddling you and your brethren in your imaginary-friend-having, fairy-tale-believing delusions.

Did he sing that from the moon?
Evolution evolved man from the dirt for the glory of God. Hows That?

There is no debate, except in the head of ignorant theists.

Evolution is sciences best founded and most well supported theory.

It could be wrong, but all evidence points to its validity, and no better theory has ever been put forward.

You're right that people may not change what they believe.

I will agree to play nice once these creationists try to put this psuedo-scientific crap into the science classroom.

I'm sick of it but not an inch must ever be conceded to the creationists. Wherever I find them spreading their tripe I'll be challenging them. This is only the thin end of the wedge-if they had their way they'd be forcing their agenda on society.

As a christian creationist, no im not sick of it. What I am sick of is the fact that evolution religion is being taught to or children. For all you evolutionists: Evolution has never been proven, there are absolutely no facts supporting your theories, if you think there are, I challenge you to present them.

Your faith starts with: "millions and millions of years ago..."
Mine starts with: "In the beginning God...."

EVOLUTION IS NOT SCIENCE!!!
