I'd just get a case for the ball. How expensive you're willing to go--that's your call. I'd probably just get something to serve it's purpose of protecting the ball. Have you thought about, or are you going to get a little piece of metal engraved saying when and where the hole-in-one was accomplished?

I think it's a feel-good thing. If you are the type of person who keeps items for long period of time, and it makes you happy, display it in a case. It's not like it will be so big you can't move it if you weren't happy with it's location. It all depends on how you view it. There are some nice display cases out there that have additional space to insert a photo. It would look good in the office or at your desk. It all depends on you. I say if you get a charge out of it, go for it.

put in on the shelf...you never know...you may need a ball one day and then you'd have to open the case to get it out and then there would be nothing in the case. If you get another hole in one with it, bronze it and then put it in a case.

Not everybody gets an Ace! Go out an invest on a case, nothing too over-the-yop but it's worth keeping your memories safe!

go for the case. Not everyone gets a hole in one in their life. This is a once in a lifetime deal, it will never happen again.
It like the baseball players when they get their first hit.
Congratulation,
I have yet to get one, bummer.

Make sure the golf course posts your hole in one on www.pga.com hole in one section. They will send you a nice certificate that you could frame and hang on the wall. They are very nice.

You can actually have your club pro submit proof of this hole in one to the PGA and they will send you a certificate. You should cherish this happening b/c golfers go all their life without it EVER happening to them. Congrats!
