I am a Christian, and I too think the shroud is a fake. Along with the visions of the Virgin Mother, the bleeding crucifixes, the drinking horse and all the other fakey things going on today. This has nothing to do with my faith in God, but they are so obviously fake and man made, it is ridicouous.

Possibly genuine. The carbon dating test has been shown to be seriously flawed, and the results of the NASA 3D test are very impressive. But my faith doesn't depend on the shroud being genuine. It's who was underneath the shroud that I place my trust in.

Well, I have to agree with you. Since there are no pictures of the person in question, it would be very questionable as to whose shroud that is, since it also isn't monogrammed.
Also, ewwww! Gross! Why do people actually believe that something for wrapping the dead, with contaminants from that person just being dead could be holy? The Torah states clearly in several places that things having to do with death are to be set aside and we are to avoid handling them.

Definitely an interesting piece of cloth. The debate rages on so I guess we'll never know. And besides, I thought they made a bust of what Jesus should have looked like based on the men of His time, and He had short hair? I don't know about this one.

It is a fake. A very clever artist used very clever paint. It'll be interesting to see how many people think it's real and actually get defensive about it!

It's been scientifically proven to be from the Middle Ages (13th Century?), and thus MUST be a hoax.

Scientifically proven a fake. A good fake, but still a fake.

I think it's real. How do you think the image of Jesus got on that clothe? If I remember right, it was disproved to be paint, and it wasn't woven into the clothe, either.
