There is only one purpose. Everyone wants happiness ; perfect happiness, called Bliss. The ultimate aim of human existence is
to share that bliss which is an attribute of God. To reach that stage one has to get out of the cycle of death and rebirths.
To achieve that level of perfection, one has to change his own life and thinking. Serve the needy, the help-less, feed the hungry,
comfort the wounded. provded shelter to the home-less. Be pure in thought and deed. Always Trust in God and do the Right.

You have enumerated various steps of human life... you are right this is life. However, the purpose behind all that is carrying over the legacy of human kind.

Human race has taken millions of years to come up to the level we are to day enjoying. We are doing a lot more between our birth and death. That is improvising the human race and developing the living conditions for the next generation.

You might have heard the story of an old man, left with 5-6 years to die. He planted a mango plant that needed another 20 years to grow into a tree and give fruits. The old man knew well that he would not be alive to eat the fruits... even than he watered the plant and took care of it... definitely for tomorrows world...

Yes, we are lucky being born humans... the life is limited... let us do as much work as we can... enjoy the beautiful nature around us... and never forget them who gave us birth.

The point is, we are social animals. It all depends on you. You come on earth, eat, reproduce, sleep....surely nothing more than an animal. You do all the stuffs that you have mentioned in your question, you will be called a successful person.

no one knows why he was born in this world . no one came into this world by his own volition. It was an accident . we wer born out of the pleasure of some other two persons .some wanted a child and got them . But many did not get the children becasue they wated them ,but because they could not avoid them. We did not choose our parents and out poarents did nor choose us. We were born out of a sin . We won this life out a competition we had with billions of our own sibilings . we were one among the billions of spermatozoa that fought their way to get into the single eg of our mothers and thereby caused the deaths of all our sibilings by depriving themof the chance to life by getting into te egg . So we started our lives as sinners who were responsible for the deathof millions of lifves as every one of them could have developed into a human being if they had a chance to get into some egg . The life we got is a porecious one and one that we couls not get again. We came from no other world but from the blood of our fahter and got planted in the womb of our mother and nourished and shaped by our mnother who breathed for us and who ate for us and worked her heart for pumbing blood with nutrients to develop us into a human being . The lifewe got was like a jockpot we would never get again. We came with a blank slate in mind except the few basic fundamental operating system soft ware in the brain., so that we could start breathing once we come out of the womb and look around , turn around in response to sound and suckle the breast to feed . These things no body taught us excepot by our mother whiel we were in her womb , because she thoufght for us like her heart worked for us . It was her blood that ruan into our mind and recrded the messages she thought about us in her mind . We had nothing else in our mind . Once we came out , our mothere , father , the sibilings , ohter relaties and friends started installing their soft ware in our brain and we learnt everything from them.What ever we learn we forget while e close shop. We can go only when we forget everything and get a clean slate . Only when we have absolutely no consciousness we are said to die . Meanwhile we do all e know and want in this world .All our wordly possesion and al that we have learnt ,including our name , we should forget and have a clean slate in brain while we go .The saint and the sinnerwere the same at and death. Death is not anything painful .but the way to death alone is painful. Death by murder , disease etc would cause pain. but death due to aging and natural decay of the elements of the body and brain , would be like sleep . Deathis a sleep only as shakespear has said in tempest ".The old oreder changeth , yielding place to new ; our little life is rounded with a sleep.. so it is actually for no purpose we came and go away equally for no purpose . But we can do something to make the only and preciopus life enjoyable and useful for others even after our death by living an exemplary and useful life . Whatour parent s gave us without our asking , we can pass on to our progeny without their asking ans with interest . - some thing more than what we got from our parents .We can also do something to the world if we can and are capable and live in th eminds of people and thuys attain immortality in the mortal life . make themaortal life an immortal one .make a purosel;ess life a purposeful one . no one is sure whether he goes to heaven or hell , but every one can be pretty sure that they can live in the minds of the poeple of this world if they do some thing worth while to humanity .No body can deprive you of this . But it is something you can be certain . You have absolutely nothing to loose by giveing as you know that you did not bring anything while coming and hence would not take anythng while going .Be happy and enjoy and let eery one enjoy this little but preciousand only life . Make spreading happiness a great purpose . You have a purpose . Feed a poor soul even without asking as and when you come to know that some one is starving and needs food .
