Took the blazer in to have some work done and the battery was disconected causing the stereo to go into "anti-theft" mode. Now it says LOC on the display and needs some type of code to unlock it. I called GM and they told me they dont have a code and that i need to take it to a dealership. Called the local dealer and they want like 75$ to do it.

Anyone know any tricks?

Well as far as i know you would have to take it to a dealer to unlock it. You can try 5437 but im not sure that will work. Thats the one for my car. Good luck with that

If you don't have the code, the only way I know how to reset it is through the dealer. Either you could give the dealer $75 to reset it or else you could go pay $100 or more for an aftermarket head unit. They're not hard to install with some basic tools and knowledge. They usually sound better than stock decks to. If you go with an aftermarket deck remember you'll also need: mounting kit usually $10-$20, wiring harness so you don't have to cut your vehicles off usually $10, Butt connectors about $3 for a package, and wire strippers/crimps usually a few dollars. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
As for the answer above me I think putting the code on the deck would defeat the purpose of Anti-Theft. When someone stole the deck they would be able to use it and therefore Anti-Theft would be useless. But I guess it could be worth a shot, I just doubt they would stick the code on the deck and defeat the purpose of Anti-Theft.
