We are all practicing the great cover up, because in each one of us that nagging voice says that we have some how fallen short, missed the mark, are flawed and would be rejected by our friends and family if we didn't hide it. This is common to the whole of the race.
The reality is that it is true. We have all fallen short of the original glory and functions that we are designed for. This is due to the fact that sin is at work in our human existence. Even the Apostle Paul felt this way.
Romans 7:21-25 (New International Version)
21So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22For in my inner being I delight in God's law; 23but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. 24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
I suggest that you congratulate yourself the next time you realize that you're not perfect, because you, have the capacity to be honest with yourself - something most people are afraid to face.
Well done, Lad!

Sure we all have insecurities and self doubt or things that we did in our past that we dont always disclose to everyone we meet. I dont think you would have the fullfilled life that you speak of if you were not a good person. Is there something you are hiding from your spouse that if she found out would change her perspective of you as a husband or a father, if the answer is NO than I would say its just a mere case of insecurity,

I'm kind of the opposite. I think sometimes my bark is bigger than my bite, and I tend to put up a wall. I think if people really knew me 100%, they would realize that I really do have the best of intentions.

Everyone feels the same way.
I used to counsel people and one of the more difficult things can be to convince people they are normal. Everyone seems to want to believe they are worse than everyone else. The why is a mystery to me, but it is far more common than some people may realize.
I suppose people prefer the drama of thinking himself to be really bad to the boring idea of being normal.

You are "normal" in those feelings... every one has something they do not want any other mortal to know about them... everyone... and they think if someone knew that that person would not like them... I can tell you, for certain, that there is One who knows all about your inner thoughts... and He Loves you... and He is The One who matters...If he can love some one like me then I know for sure He loves you...because He knows just how good you can be dispite your self doubt.. dose this sound like someone you would want to know better?

Its OK to worry about work, friends, family. Just do not go over board and over analyze everything. Chill out and relax some. I am a worrier also, but cannot change some things and have to accept that. Easier said then done though.

Everyone is like that. We all have a bit of evil in us. It's what we actually DO that counts towards being a moral person. Jesus set the bar too high in my opinion when he said that if you sin in your heart you are sinning all the same. That isn't fair on humanity and I don't agree with Jesus on that.

First off no one really know you. Now they may have an understanding about how you react about many problem that you may have. Also they may have many reactions about what you are doing at any certain time in your life. But not even you may know you, for you have no idea about how you would react to all things before hand.

It's normal. Everyone has what Matthew Arnold termed "The Buried Life":
I knew the mass of men concealed
Their thoughts, for fear that if revealed
They would by other men be met
With blank indifference, or with blame reproved;
I knew they lived and moved
Tricked in disguises, alien to the rest
Of men, and alien to themselves - and yet
The same heart beats in every human breast!
