I just learned how to insert and remove contacts yesterday at the Doctor's office. I had to put them back in once I got home. After doing so I got really nauseous. Is that normal? By the way touching my eye doesn't make me nauseous. I'm wondering if my body is reacting to a foreign object being in my eyes.

Possibly or it could be that the strength of the lenses in the contacts may be slightly stronger then the strength of glasses, I think your eyes just need some time to adjust

It could be the strength of your contact lenses. I wear contact lenses as well and I know how it feels getting fresh lenses in your eyes. To me it makes me feel like I am a midget, b/c it makes everything including the ground closer to the point that I could touch it with my hands. Your eyes just need time to get adjusted to the new regiment of wearing contacts

the act of putting a contact in shouldn't make you nauseated. however, if it is new prescription, it could cause nausea. the change might be slight enough that you wouldn't even notice it, but until your body adjusts, you could feel nauseated. if it doesn't go away though, that is really weird. ask your doctor.

Do you really mean nauseaous or dizzy? It makes me dizzy only if I'm wearing glasses for long periods of time and then if I decide to put on my contacts, I feel like fainting for a few seconds. It goes away after a while.

this may sound dumb, but you might have them inside-out, or maybe have your lenses switched. this would definitely cause dizziness or nausea.
