I have a red ring on my skin with a spot inside it.. no other symptoms

Sounds like ring worm to me. But w/o a pict it's too hard to say, you should realy go see a Dr. about it. I hope it's not Lyme Disease. Best to know for sure...

if u did not travel to woodland area or have history of tick bite (ixodes) because mice are important reservoir also deer are required for life cycle of this tick so it is not likely to be Lyme because it is more common in northeastern United states and the transmission most common in summer and contain other signs and symptoms depend on the stage of disease ,

but if you want to know what is it you should go and see a DR because there are othe diffrential diagnosis for erythema chronicum migrans.

No, it is not common in the UK. What you describe could be one of several insect bite conditions. Lyme disease is passed to humans who have knocked about in woodlands where there are a lot of deer.
