Nothing will really happen out of the ordinary. I am on Effexor XR and i have gotten drunk before while on it. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. when i say out of the ordinary what i mean is is that you might have the same conditions that anyone else might get from drinking. But i do want to warn you though, it is not a completely safe thing to do completely overboard. you do want to be careful. My best friend just recently died. he was not on effexor perce but he was bipolar and on drugs for it and well lets just say that drinking can get out of control no matter what type of medications you are on. so be careful whatever you decide to do.

I'm on Effexor XR and I don't have any problems with drinking on it. All these people can read to you these studies or tell you what they here but think about it who does these studies the drug manufacturers. They want no liability. Drinking is a depressant so if your on something or not your probably not going to feel perfect the next day. Don't let this stop you from drinking! Do drink in moderation though. You'll be fine!

you take effexor for a reason, and you should be more concerned about your health than partying with alcohol. I've been on paxil and whenever i decided to drink i missed my dose. even tho, i didn't enjoy alcohol.. i got more drunk than usually and feel weird also other day. i did it a couple of times, but i wouldn't anymore, cause it's dumb, pointless and it can harm you.

you would be drunk and on effexor. Especially amusing if you also like to play Russian Roulette.

Bad news. You'll live to regret it. Your rush will become a blur - you won't remember it. You'll forget about your brain freaks and passes out.
You will have the biggest headache of youf life and wish you were dead. The hangover will last for days.

the neurological depression side effects of both can potentiate each other and you would be at risk of quitting breathing while the effects of both last, do not drink, good luck
