Its all depends on what he went to prison for. Something you can change and somethings change you.
My exhusband wanted me to give his best friend a chance.
I just couldnt bring myself to do so. Since he had been in prison for 6 years for the rape and battery of an 11 year old girl, and his rap sheet didnt end there either. I felt it was better for me and my children to stay awya from this man as in addition to his many charges and crimes he was a man who preyed on little girls.
Why did he go to prison? What were his crimes? Was it something you can look over, or would you just have to look the other way?

It depends what he was in jail for because everybody deserves a second chance. If hes been in jail before for the same thing or something similar dont get caught up cause hes the type of person that doesnt get the point and will be in and out of jail.

What was he in for?

Assault = Forget it.

Stealiing a piece of pizza (maybe he was hungry) = chance.

For me, it would depend on why he was there, if it was his 1st offense etc. You need to know more . But there is no reason to write him off until you do.

Don't be afraid to ask.
