I have had satellite TV for about 15 years now and My first question is why would you need an antenna hooked up? Are you referring to needing an antenna for local channels? Most areas now offer local channels thru the satellite. Never heard of keeping an antenna hooked up after entering the 21st Century.
BUT, if you need an antenna for local stations, try disconnecting the satellite cable when you use the antenna. Both of them hooked together at the same time may be causing interference from each other.

The satellite should not interfere with your antenna at all, maybe the antenna on the roof is moved a bit, you just need to adjust it.

best bet is to get an rf meter, and determine where the best signal comes from. is your satelite sharing the same line as your antenna , if so yes you'll need a booster
