I was driving home one day and I saw an amazing scenery of my surroundings. It was gloomy all over like it was about to rain, but over in the distance was a mountain where the sun was setting, the clouds where parted slightly and the most beautiful sun rays started shining down to earth. it was godly, And all I thought about was Jerusalem, Do I have a false Imagery of what Jerusalem really is. Maybe Metaphorically, I have never been there, but I prayed that day.

Jerusalem is a great city--I spent a few months there as a student and absolutely loved it.

The Old City is nestled on a hill, surrounded by larger hills, so your sunset image may not be terribly far off. We saw some amazing sunsets from Mt. Zion (where my campus was located).

Must have been too much LSD and/or Pot.

The new Jerusalem won't look anything like the existing Jerusalem.

so you saw a beautiful scenery and you thought of a dirty, smelly old city that's torn with violence. I think you definately got the wrong picture there
