I just heard Dick Durbin speak at a press conference, AGAIN. And AGAIN I was appalled at his arrogance, and insulting remarks. I want to apologize to our soldiers for voting for him. I also need to apologize to those brave Iraqi people who literally risked death to cast their votes in the past year and who continue to work with our troops to build a strong Iraq. I'm sorry I helped put a man in power who is more concerned about his political career than your efforts.
Saying I'm sorry isn't enough, is it?

You are not alone..,I was a democrat until after the Gore/Bush campaign..,the thing that turned me away from the Democrats was the fact that they wanted to discredit the military votes that were late coming in..if anyone deserves the right to vote it is the men and women that fight to give us that right.Durbin started off by going into iraq and sympathizing with Saddam.More and more american people are ashamed of the Democratic party and are opening their eyes to the hatred. We have had enough.I am sorry too for not realizing this sooner.

Your humility is a virtue. Go in peace, my son, and sin no more.

Seriously, I know that having been bitten once, you will study the candidates and choose the best you can find another time. Hell, I voted as a young man for JFK for not much more reason than the fact that he was a Catholic. When I said to a much older and wiser Catholic "Well, I guess you're voting for OUR guy", he answered "He's not MY guy". The old geezer was right.

What would be the point? the damage has been done. But apology accepted anyhow.

The trick is to ensure that you remember this the next time, and vote for a more reasonable individual.
