Why isn't your cat an indoor cat? If you love your cat, he/she SHOULD BE. Maybe it's for the warmth that can otherwise be provided by you. What's car paint compared to the needs of you cat? If you love your cat, (hmmmm), just try to figure why the car?

I think you should just keep your cat inside the house. Unlike wild cats (leopards, lions, etc) domestic cats can't really protect themselves from predators outside. Your cat can easily be attacked by a dog or ran over by a car. Just keep the kitty inside.

If you don't want to bring her inside spray a cituris smell there. Cats don't like that.
Parents did that with orange peels to keep the neighbors cat from using our garden as a litter box and it worked.

She might be laying on it because it is warm from the engine? I would recommend getting a car cover or keeping your cat inside.

try putting your cat a bed that's warm outside she's probably seeking the warmth . also put it up high and maybe put a light over it to keep it warm if it's cold outside I did this for my cat and she loves it leaves my car alone now good luck

Uh....bring her inside. If you cant then put a basket outside with something warm in it like a blanket and put sum catnip in it so that the cat is attracted to it.

Cats can't stand the smell of moth balls. Just put them in bowls or cups around your car.
