I KNOW babies are not born believers... I'm trying to prove a point. People will believe whatever is told or taught to them. You believe in God because somewhere down the line, someone told you about him and you were brainwashed into believing it. I stopped believing in 12th grade when I studied mythology. I obviously was not born with any faith at all. Geez. :/

Babies are born innocent, blank canvases with which to work. The outcome is relative to the people raising them.

According to the Bible, babies are born with an innate sense of right and wrong. But, they have to be taught beliefs, whether it be religious beliefs or atheistic beliefs, and are taught by experience.

P.S. I'm sorry to hear you feel you were brainwashed into believing in God. Sometimes the world piles crap onto us and we forget the reason for our basic teachings- but don't forget where you came from- not the tangible, the spiritual.

Good question. As you can see, many people believe that- uh- belief requires language and since babies don't have language, babies can't have belief. What does that tell you about what some people think about belief?
The next facet of this jewel of a question is that memory seems to depend on language. We usually can't remember anything from before the time we learned to think with language. Our baby memories are mostly lost after we grow up.
So, I would have to say that in that precious time between birth and the learning of language, an infant doesn't "believe" anything, but it might know some things that it will forget after it enters the world of thinking with words. We all sense that some of our highest, truest and most wonderful thoughts are difficult or impossible to put into words, but do we actively seek the part of ourselves that don't depend on words? Do we make any real effort to "know what a baby knows"? Those of us who meditate do make that attempt.
Short version: babies don't have to believe. They know. They just can't tell.

No. Babies don't believe anything, they are taught. First the physical things, then after their brains have developed enough to talk, the emotional. When a child can place trust in another person, they can believe.

Children are brainwashed into believing many things, such as that it is wrong to steal, to run around naked, to break things, etc. It is the job of parents to set the path their children will take in life. If left to their own devices, most children would grow up little monsters.

no babies are babies. The have to be taught everything. I dont think they should be baptized either when they are a couple months old. They dont sin so there is no reason to be baptized(if you believe in this type of thing).

In Islam, all babies are born believers (i.e muslim - the one who submits to God). They are born pure, without any sin. And only later their parents make them Christian, Jew, Buddhist...etc.

If the babies die in their infancy it is believed that they will go to Paradise, and they will not be judged on Judgement Day.

I hope that answer your question.

No, we are all born sinners from the get go. This is why it is so important to raise our children in the light of God. We must raise them to love, respect and come to know our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

born believers of what ? religion? or God? if you are asking religion then no... because that is man made... he will have to learn like a child learns about all man made things..... is he a born believer of God.... well. to believe in something means , you can disbelieve it too at some point in time..... believing or disbelieving is a rational trait.... which also he will learn...... the answer to your question is .... a baby thinks less and feels more..... he can feel the existence of God within himself.... he is close to God.....
