Have you noticed that people who can't answer your question (because to do so would expose an obvious contradiction in their faith)......will give you a "thumbs down"?

Which religious group do you think does this the most often?

Please see my last question and tell me if you think it was a "good" question or a "bad" question...and why.

note the "thumbs down" here which further prove my point. Hmmmm. I wonder what religious group is behind it....hmmmm. They are soooo predictable.

valmikey: Yes, but the difference is that they are intelligent enough to admit that they can't answer the quesition. Unlike the christians, who danced around the question and pulled contradicting nonsense out of thin air.

punkin: 1. you are asserting that their is a god. 2. you are stating that he is all powerful.
PLEASE, back-up your wild claims with one shred of evidence.

That was an outstanding question. I've seen similar documentaries.

In my opinion, and I'm gonna get it for this, the Christians are the worst for the thumbs down. Mention the words gay, agnostic, or atheist and you are outta here.

I never give a thumbs down just for being rude and ignorant. And, I haven't seen a question that asks any good philosophical questions that would expose my faith. I see a lot of people that don't take any time to understand the other side arguing about what they think, but nothing concrete. I also see a lot of atheists trying to prove the nonexistence of something as if that were more possible than trying to prove the existence of something, a logical fallacy any intellect would agree to.

I have noticed your point myself. I am a Christian, and I am rather new to this site, and thought this was a place to ask serious questions and get serious answers. I am finding that when you ask a serious / honest question that you are accused of being judgmental or something else along that line. I wonder too, why people ask questions or for your opinion if they don't want to hear what you honestly think or get offended because you give your honest opinion.

I never "thumbs down" anyone because they aren't the same as me in matters of faith. Wasn't America built on the need for freedom of religious conscience?

I like your question, but...
How do you know who is giving you the thumbs down? I read the answers and nobody mentioned it.

Maybe, many of the people who gave thumbs down didn't even bother to answer.
I like your original question, but this one sucks.

I must agree that the Christian answers to your questions on this subject were astonishing. It never ceases to amaze me the level of mental gymnastics they must put themselves through in order to continue to believe their holy book is the absolute truth while being faced with a conundrum like the one you presented. And what religious group does this most often?

Also a good question but quantitative in nature. Impossible to answer correctly without the necessary statistics to give the proof. But my personal opinion?

All fundamentalists fall prey to this problem.

That was a good question, I know these people are not homosexual, either way they go, they did NOT bring this on themselves, It was NOT their choose to be born like this and ANYBODY that would fault them for which ever decision they make on this is just plain ignorant, about God, and being a true Christian, these people are a product of a multiple birth gone wrong... They are still human beings and they deserve respect..

Well I personally thought that question was brilliant. I gave you a thumbs up :) I would guess that mostly christians are giving you thumbs down because your making them think outside of what they learn in church or from their "bible". I get thumbs down on my answers all the time...its like the thumbs down trolls are following me around. but the cool kids think you rock!! :)

The thumbs system is a popularity contest and has nothing to do with the quality of the question.

I answered a recent question with the only correct answer and was given 2 thumbs down. The only thing I typed was "dogmatic."

But, I'm used to getting thumbs down, for some reason, bible thumpers love to give me thumbs down no matter what I do.

:-)

well I thought it was very interesting.that's a question that took only the slightest of thought to create.look we are talking about the greatest mind in all the worlds. we can't even begin to imagine the power of the creator of the worlds, but anyone should know that any living person that is born conflicted through no fault of their own can't be held accountable. who do you think Gods is one of our parents ?? H E IS ON A MUCH HIGHER LEVEL THAN THAT AND IS NOT GOING TO PUNISH SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY HAD NO CONTROL OVER. IF YOU WERE THE FATHER OF SUCH A CHILD WOULD YOU CONDEMN HIM OR HER FOR HER CHOICES ?NO. SO THERE YOU GO.
