I am using outlook 2003. I have a work laptop that originally was owned by somebody else. It was basically transfered to me. When I open my email in outlook and try to create a new message, the "from" field is empty!. So every time I have to manullay enter it?. How do I make it default to my "email account name" in the "from" field. This way I don't have to type it in every time?

Thanks

Don't think that can be defaulted to anything, when you send email the other person will know it is from you though.

Go to TOOLS
click on E-MAIL ACCOUNTS
select VIEW OR CHANGE EXISTING E-MAIL ACCOUNTS
click NEXT

find your account and SET AS DEFAULT You may have to change the mail settings (POP & SMTP).

Better thing to do is reformat the computer and reload WIndows. That way, ALL the settings are yours.
