According to the Bible, Jesus is the word of god. Yet fundamentalists refer to a collection of silly ancient books as the word of god.

Don't you think it's blasphemous to elevate a bunch of rediculous writings to the level of your god by giving those writings your god's title?

Ya know back in my Christian days I use to think that many people held the Bible as an idol. Rather then living a life that encouraged growth and harmony they chose to tear people apart by quoting Bible verses. Which was pretty much like what the Pharisees use to do.

Jesus's teaching are the meat & and pototoes of the Bible. Also, all scripture was given by God by His divine inspiration. Jesus also spoke of himself being the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Bible, so it wouldn't be incorrect to refer to the Bible as the Word of God.

LUKE 24:25-27

25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26 ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Jesus said, "Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book." Revelation 22:7

Jesus said for his believers to follow the teachings of the Bible.
What part of that do you not understand?

Also, I worship Jesus Christ as my Lord and my God. I do not worship the Bible, but use it as a guide for my life.

I------- instructions
