My God. This is just my uninformed opinion, but unless the man is also a certified anesthesiologist or has one present, he really has no business giving a triple combination of an oral sedative PLUS an intravenous sedative PLUS nitrous oxide in a private office. I was not there and do not know the credentials or protocol followed, but this just spells disaster to me. You need a third party who is trained to do NOTHING but monitor someone under these condtions. You can't adequately monitor a dental patient and perform dentistry at the same time.

I use nitrous oxide in the office (for 30 years) and this is going to cause a lot of patients to ask a lot of questions, so thank you for making me aware of this news story. It will help to have the details.

I serious question the propriety of a dentest giving sedation to a 5 year old. Its just not good medical practice.
