this could be a unfastened place for every person. It does not say for Christians in easy terms. i've got not got faith on your God or heaven or hell or the devil. Does that propose i do no longer belong right here even nevertheless I do have a faith? i think of no longer. that's the religion and Spirituality spot. we are able to all respond right here as we please. purely like the Atheists are not going to make you alter over to their way of thinking, you're actually not likely to alter every person else the two. quit being so impolite to human beings. Are you so closed minded which you think of you're the only faith interior the international? And next time you write a question, seem at what number situations that query has been asked first. we've had this question asked just about daily considering that this Yahoo solutions got here on. sturdy day!

yes I'm learning a lot about Christianity and the more i learn the more convinced i am being an atheist is the right thing. i went to a religious school and was force fed the bible. no one, not then not now has ever given me a straight forward and satisfactory answer to any question, even questions based on hard fact rather than dogma, for example: Herod the great died in 6 BC, the first roman census was conducted after 6 ad, who killed all the first born? the census was only in Judea, Joseph was from Galilee why did he take part in a roman census he didn't have to? Joseph was descended from David, not Mary, how come Jesus was of the house of David if Joseph wasn't his father. these are simple questions that don't require interpretation just facts. no one has given them to me.

No, I'm only hearing the words of delusional humans who believe in gods. It is sad.
I do sometimes find what I'm looking for here, which is trying to hone and refine my arguments against religious belief. I've yet to hear an argument (for lack of a better word) from a believer that makes me question my atheism, if anything, it is confirmed.
If I can offer a believer, or someone who is on a spiritual quest a rational alternative, or a small measure of doubt about their blind faith that starts them on a journey to unbelief, then that is a bonus.
I don't just come here, I also spend some time on Alternative Medicine, for similar reasons (wackos with weird beliefs to challenge)

You make the following assumptions for which there is no support:
1. That atheists and agnostics are 'looking for something' on this site.
2. That the 'information' in it is in some way 'valuable'.
3. That 'opening your mind and heart' to a fictional being is somehow a good thing.
We debate your assumptions. You may try to support them, and I wish you luck, but your chances of success are remote.

You are rude and when other Christians ask again on here why is it Christians got a bad name on here for, or why do so many people hate them. I suggest they point their fingers directly at you and people who behave just like you or worse off.
I came on yahoo answers to peoples questions. I stay on the page that shows ALL questions not just the religion ones or any other ones. When I see a question that I can answer or is directed to me or I feel the need to reply I do so. I am NOT looking for your god or anything other then maybe to get people like you to learn the meaning of respecting other peoples beliefs and rights. We have the right NOT to believe in god. We also have the right to NOT have you and others like you push your religion on us when it's clearly unwanted. We are happy we don't need your god to make us happy we can think on our own and make our own decisions in life. We are not going to hell cause we don't believe in it.
So go educate your self a bit more and stop trying to push your views on others! There are several reasons why I don't believe in your god, however a big part of it would be because of low life people life your self that clearly don't know the meaning of the word respect.

This site IS very sticky.I didn't realize it was the word of god!he sure asks a lot of questions, and has a lot of dumb answers.I do find what I want here as do you, validation for your opinions. You ARE hearing the word of ME.and I am God as much as anyone else on here.Read the answers you don't agree with and you might or might not learn something, its a two way street, and it ain't gods.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I ignore the preaching I see out here for the most part. The little bit that might trickle through is not "working on me" in any way. If anything, it simply reinforces my awareness that there is no god.
But yes, I am getting what I'm looking for out here. I have the occasional question; things I'm wondering about myself, or sometimes in response to trends I see here. Plus with so many posters, there's always a question to be answered, which fulfills my insatiable need to avoid work....
I personally focus on the spirituality side, but being an ex-cath, I'm sometimes able to answer questions about that religion.

Haha, I love how you imply that this is the Christianity section and you're just ALLOWING the atheists and agnostics to come in... as if they actually don't belong here.
Newsflash: This is the Religion & Spirituality section, not the "Jesus Christ is the son of God, that is the truth, if you believe anything else, you're wrong" section. It amazes me how many fundamentalist Christians come in here and claim this section as their own. A Buddhist could come in here asking a question about meditation. A historian could come in here asking a question about world religions in general. A Muslim could come in here asking a question about the Quran. This isn't a place solely for Christians, and stop implying that it is.

Actually, I was something of an agnostic when I first came to this site. However, after reading so many of the ridiculous questions and rabid answers that so many fundamentalist Christians have posted on this site, I consider myself an atheist. Thank you and your comrades for opening my eyes and closing my heart to the irrational, primitive myth of Jesus.

Yes, I'm hearing the fairy tales that christians tell themselves, the fairy tales that muslims are telling themselves, and they're hearing the truth that the existence of a deity can neither be proven nor disproven and that both their holy texts contain numerous errors.
Besides, I'm just here to have fun. If that means answering a question respectfully because it was asked respectfully, then cool, it's fun. If it means answering a question venomously because it was asked venomously, then that's cool and fun too!
Besides, I've read five translations of the Bible, taken twenty college level courses of Bible study, from three points of view (Roman Catholic, Baptist, and Methodist)... why the apparent assumption that I've never heard your fairy tale before?
