I eat right, I get enough sleep, I hydrate properly, and I stretch. I'm a long distance runner, so it's really unusual for my legs to stay so tight like this. It's been over a week. I'm sick of stopping all the time because my legs hurt. What can I do to fix it?

Are you stretching enough? I know with colder weather coming on I need to stretch even more than normal. You could also be lacking in vitamins and minerals. Try soaking in a nice warm bath - soothing and relaxing.

How much potassium do you get?
It could be a buildup of lactic acid - get a massage, or massage your legs yourself. You need to get in deep to release the buildup. The lactic acid keeps your muscles from getting the required nutrients and hydration.

Get a massage.

Cheaper: buy a stick and stick down after you run.

Take a ice bath after you run.

it really depends on many factors how long your run is? how long do you spend on stretching? do you perform a proper warmup before your run?

All these factors have to be weighed before jumping to conclusions.
