dude, do what i did.. i got the perfect line for you to use..
ok.. take her out to dinner and then to a relaxing fun place.. like the zoo (especially if you can hang tight until winter when everything is lit up) then as your walkin & talkin put your arm around her and ask her to be your penguin.. when she askes what you mean you tell her.. my penguin.. and then she'll ask why.. then heres the good part.. you tell her because a penguin spends its whole life searching for its soul mate and when he finds her his life feels complete.. and i want you to be my pengin.. then you get on the 1 knee and ask her to be your penguin..
then

What's really romantic is go to the place where you first met. Or you can go to the place that you had your first date. Or to the place where you first said I love you. Or something sweet like that. Go there and just talk and when you feel the time is right, do it. Another thing, if you are going to propose to her at a restaurant or something. What you could do is go there and meet with the manager or the owner and set something up with them. Talk to them about making it kinda private, and see about putting rose petals everywhere, or just something sweet like that. See if they can have candles also. And then what you could do is set it up to where they put the ring in her dessert in some special way. When you meet with the owner, you can pick out all the foods and dessert. There's a couple ideas for you! Good Luck!

Do something simple that she will always remember. What are you guys all about? Really think about what would mean a lot to her, sometimes the billboard on Main St. isn't the best way to go, though it's great your professing your love in front of the whole city, she might appreciate something more intimate.
After a really great evening my fiance popped the question by giving me a dvd of my favorite movie, I opened the case the the ring was around the circle in the middle. It was a lot more romantic then it sounds. But honestly it was perfect, he thought about doing it at a baseball game on the bigscreen and all that, but he couldn't have chosen a better way for us to get engaged.
Personalize the occasion by making it something that you will think about often and always have fond memories of, if you do something extravagant you may be stressed out the whole time and not get to enjoy it.

GOOD LUCK!

See if you can work it into something that you know she really likes to do. Like if she likes to cook, maybe get her a cookbook with a proposal written in on a page of a recipie she might like. I know that probably sounds lame but I think it's the overall idea that counts.

1.Get a piece of poster board, and cut it out in the shape of your inside freezer on your refrigerator. On that board, once you make sure it fits in nicely without falling out, take it out and write “Will you Marry Me??” Put it back into the refrigerator. When your honey gets in, ask her can she get you a glass of ice water. When she goes to open the freezer door she will see the sign, you come up behind her, get on your knee and propose.

2. Give her tiny gifts for a week- like a card telling her how much you love her, a flower on her pillow the next day, a nice poem written to her (slip it in her wallet or purse so it’s a surprise), and so forth. On the last day gave her a picture frame with a picture of you holding up a “will you marry me” sign, surrounded by her friends or family. They would love to be a part of it.

3. Try getting flowers delivered to her at work and show up to ask her right when the flowers come, or shortly thereafter- in front of her work mates.

4. Put it on her pillow when she gets out of the shower she will see it.

So many ways to do it- just be creative!

This is the way that my friends fiance proposed to her (you'll need a friend that is a cop)... He asked her, in a non chalant way, how she gets to his house, or if you already know, thats better. He had his cop friend pull her over and take her information. When she thought the cop was coming back to the car to give her a ticket, it was her fiancee standing there in a tuxedo, holding an engagement ring. I thought that was so romantic.

Well, I can tell you how NOT to propose. My ex proposed to me in his parent's basement, where we were living at the time, while wearing only his boxers. I should have known right then and there that he wasn't The One, haha. It was just so lazy.

So yeah, put some effort into it, make it special, make HER feel special, make it worth remembering!

Go out of town (doesn't have to be far away...) to a bed and breakfast and propose there...either in your room or on a walk, or something like that. Have champagne too =0)

Go to a place that the two of you have never been before and ask her there. Then whenever you return to that location, it reminds you of the day/night that you proposed.

hmmm look into her eyes straight.
think your are a brave boy..in the world
there is nothing to fear simply say that you love her sometimes u might understand her love from her look that is the best time to propose because u might not lose her friendship too if she is your friend..if she is not yet introduced be careful dont spoil your image by proposing vulgurly...pleasant climate..plesant color.plesant flower...plesant location ..plesant mood is favourble for proposing

Please please please, do something more creative than my fiance did! I love him so much can't wait to marry him, and am engaged now, so it doesn't really matter, but this stuff is important to a girl! he asked me...hey so you wanna get married while we were sitting around watching tv. no knee (till he gave me the ring later) nothing special. Like I said, it doesn't matter now at all, but it still would be kinda nice to have something with a little pizazz to tell the grandkids! lol! good luck! I'm enclosing a few links below that have great ideas, in a variety of ways (public, private, VERY private-whatever works best for you!)
