Dont be silly, don't sent your child to Houston! If he wants to see his child have him come to you. But I would never disallow the other parent from seeing their children no matter how sorry they are!

i imagine the first precedence should be if the dad is vacationing his son, no longer any opposite direction round. that is the dad's duty to maintain the courting, no longer yours or a 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds. A 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous could no longer be grew to change into over to someone he would not even comprehend, no remember what the courting. If he would not comprehend his dad, that is not any longer the toddler's fault, that is the dad's and he could artwork on that courting in the previous putting the toddler in a daunting situation with truly a stranger. besides, he will imagine you've abandoned him because he's all you comprehend, and it is your duty to make him experience shelter. i does no longer even enable my childrens visit daycare or a babysitter they did not comprehend. i wish by the point your toddler is 7-12, the dad will make better of an attempt so that they do comprehend who he's. Make this the dad's duty.

Yeah I agree with chill will. I am in the same situation, only that my child is 5 and her dad could give a sh** less if he sees her, but if his dad really wants to see his son, then I would say that the highway travels both ways and he can make that first trip, and I'm sure that he still has your address unless you moved and have not told him yet. And if he don't then let that be the reason.

I disagree with the notion that contact at this age means little. It is at this age that the strongest parent child bonds form. If there is a compelling concern that the father will either hurt the child or keep him after the agreed visitation, then don't permit the visit. If these concerns to not exist, then allow the visit. If you're somewhat concerned, try to arrange a supervised visit.

The father has the right to see his child, and so do the father's parents. Have the father come get the child and go back to Texas with the child. If there is a court order of visitation then you'd better follow that court order or you could loose custody altogether.

At such an age it does not make such difference, but if his Dad really cares he has a right to see his child. If, on the other hand, he doesn't give a damn, don't bother with him but make sure you tell your child the truth about him.
