I had mono when I was 24 and I got pregnant at 28 with no trouble at all. I know the mono can remain in your system as dormant Eppstein Barr (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and if you let your immune system get run down, you can have a return of mono-like symptoms. I do not believe it has any effect on fertility.

no it does not. It is just a virus and you carry it forever after contracting it but once you have had it you can't get it again. And there is no permanent damage
