The following question was censored by Yahoo:

`Bin Laden is a God fearing, teetotal, antigay traditionalist who believes that a womans place is in the home and crime should be punished severely.

Two days after 911, Jerry Falwell suppored by Pat Robertson, the two best known TV evangilists, said:

`What we saw on Tuesday, as terrible as it is, could be miniscule if, in fact, God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve. It was Gods wrath at `the pagans and the abortionists and the feminists and the gays and the lesbians... the American Civil Liberties Union, People For the American Way, all of them who try to secularise America.`

Should conservative fundamentalists of Christianity and Islam unite, as they have much in common?`

People, help me calibrate my questions. Do you think this is a breach of Community Guidelines? If so, why?

Born Agains have blood on their hands too.

President Reagan, that famous Born Again Christian who Falwell campaigned for in 1980, funded dictatorial regimes. For example the regime in Guatemala killed 100,000 innocent village civilians. 911 was small beans if you look at just this example.

I don't see why it was censored. It's controversial, but you're asking a genuine question based on facts.

Then again, I had a question about being a "model bisexual" deleted at LGBT while hateful and ridiculous questions flood the board, and one at Motor Sports asking if anyone else is a "blue state NASCAR fan" (I'm a fan in NYC), while others get to tell us we're all stupid and it's not really a sport.

I don't get it, either.

It's a serious question. It is a very sensitive subject and I can see how many people would take offense to it- Christians and Muslims alike- so it probably drew some criticism and complaints. Yahoo Answers has a page that gives its guidelines and you might want to have a look at it. The reasons to report abuse include improper or abusive language, advertising, mis-categorized or inappropriate questions and so on. I don't know their exact procedure for deciding to delete a question, but if you really feel that you can get valuable insights with this question, I would advise you to check the guidelines, re-phase if necessary and try again.
In the meantime- supposing that this could be my only chance to answer- if the fundamentalist Christians and the fundamentalist Muslims were to unite as a kind of super moral majority (I don't see that happening) that might end the current war, but there would be another, much worse war and either freedom or religion would be killed in that war. I don't want to see that.
Oh, by the way...I reported the "penis implant" question. It didn't have anything to do with religion and spirituality. I assumed it was from a spammer. Others may have felt the same way. Again, I don't know how many people you have to offend before your question gets deleted. Most of the people here are willing to answer any kind of question, but they go to the question area in which they feel qualified to post answers and they expect the questions to fit the category.

I believe that as Americans, we are entitled to free speech. Yes, Ben Lauden probably does believe all of the things that you listed but, his deeds are evil.

I believe that Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson were pointing out that it is quiet evident that many people do not follow the principals that God has set for us to make our lives good and happy. All mankind is born with a sinful nature. Therefore, we bring many of the tragedies of this life upon ourselves because of our disobedience to God. Just the same as Adam and Eve did.

No, Christianity and Muslems can not unite in a spiritual sense because we worship different gods.

I see nothing wrong with your questions.

While the question will almost certainly upset fundamentalist Christians and Muslims, as the question was asked in what appears to be a thoughtful manner: NO! Yahoo should not censor it.

There are more similarities between the opposite ends of opposing religions than there are between the end and the middle of any given one... No reason why one should be censored for pointing this out.

I refer you to your Bill Of Rights.......

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. — The first article of the Bill of Rights

Censorship is no laughing matter.

About Me: I was an unwanted child. My mother left me outside of town to be raised by wolves. We lived in Omaha, so the prairie dogs found me. I lived in a burrow system where my adoptive parents taught me how to bark and scurry.

At 7, I was rescued by the scratching monks of the Order of St Derek. The life was hard at he monastry. Our daily rituals began with rising at 5 am for one hour of scratching ourselves in the chapel. We scratched three more hours during the day, and at evening vespers we only rubbed, to avoid permanent skin injury. After living on the dry prairie, my flaky skin let me scratch myself enough to win the trust and confidence of the monks. I was sent to study divinity.

Then the Order split apart over whether St Derek would have used modern skin relief like steroid creams, or traditional ointments made from bat droppings.

I left the bitter conflict and the smell of bat poo behind and became a lay preacher. Email Pastor Sauce

Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, other believers, don't kill people. People claiming to be believers for their own personal gain kill people once again for their own personal gain. Any moral human being knows what is good and what is bad.

G-d no! Radical Christians and Radical Muslims are not at all alike.

These Christians have caused all the trouble with these Muslims.
We need to get rid of them.
