if its the same spot, I'd say it was a trigger memory.
ifs its a room, or side of the house, it could be envirmental
if its different spots at different times, it could be something inside.
Best thing for you to do may be to get a little notebook you carry around.
whenever you come back from an episode,
answer the following
what was I just doing/thinking of doing
what objects are here?
what time is it?( and date)
what is going on around me that may not be a normal part of the routine...
as you examine the answers you may see that it is a certain object that gets you, or a line of thinking, or whatnot.
If so, it may help you to id your triggers and remove them, or if you can't to be prepared for them

sounds fairly normal to me. How long does it last? How often? Is the area of the house a place where something 'special' or traumatic happened? More info would let me give a better answer.

It sounds like you are teleporting, going outside of your body. Some people strive to accomplish this, so you're lucky. Don't feel ashamed of this. Try developing the technique so you can 'space out' in other locations.

Epilepsy. It's just a guess - I had a childhood friend who would sometimes "spaceout". She was diagnosed with the affliction but rarely collapsed into full-on seizures.
