Fructis has a very nice curl construct weightless mousse that you might want to look into. Its not heavy and hard drying like most curling mousses

Matrix Amplify Volumizing System Hair Spray would be worth a try. I have very thick, naturally curly hair so I was kind of skeptical about trying it because I didn't want the extra volume. It works great, the curls stay bouncy and not stiff looking the way hair spray usually makes them look and you can use it to get the amount of volume desired.
