A cruise ship sounds like an adventurous place to start.
Do you know any fun places in a certain state/country away from you? You can apply for a job to be a tourguide.
Do you know theatrical/musical technicalities? Join a stage crew that's working for a travelling band/theatre group.
Are you good in front of the camera? Find out about casting calls in your area for a travel show, maybe you'll end up becoming a TV presenter for that travel show.
Another place you could work for is a travelling fun fair. Dunno if you have that in your country, but in Belgium there is a fancy fair in every major city every year in different times, so when the season is in foodstall/rides owners travel around to cities where the fancy fair's supposed to be at.
In any country there should be seasonal celebration festivals, like city anniversaries, independence day, or music festivals like Holland's famous North Sea Jazz every july. Those things are always looking for employees to work during the period.
