Fried Apples
1/4 cup butter
6 tart apples, sliced
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 dash nutmeg
In a large skillet, melt bacon drippings. Place apples evenly over skillet bottom. Sprinkle lemon juice over them, then brown sugar, then salt. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes until apples are tender and juicy.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Southern Fried Apples

2 lbs. tart apples
sugar to taste
3 T. butter
cinnamon

Wash, core and slice apples into quarters. Do not peel. Place them in a heavy skillet with the butter. Cover and cook over medium heat until soft, about 5 - 10 minutes.
Uncover and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Cook until lightly browned on underside.

peel apples , about 1-2 lbs ,put in iron skillett with one stick margine ,1Tbls cinnmon ,1 cup sugar and cook down until done///
