Yeah I didn't think it sounded right to burn perfectly good money, especially since this country is in debt....

Drugs are burned and the money goes to the city budget. A lot of times the police put the money to fund D.A.R.E. programs and other types of education. Also some equipment like K-9s are also purchased with that money. If you have drugs in your car then they can take your car also and use that for police vehicles or sell them at auction.

In some states it goes towards further drugs enforcement. In the UK it goes to the Exchequer (Government). They burn the drugs, not the money.

no they dont burn it they use it to fund programs like DARE and the vehicles they use in the drug task forces and stuff like that. I think the federal government willnot let them burn it

They might burn a little marijuana. Nobody's burning any money. It is confiscated and goes into their budget.
