my son has a heart condition and is on medication and can't work.

Well if he's on disability he isn't getting much income. If you feel your son takes advantage of you and you need the money you could ask for a small contribution. He can do small jobs maybe to help out that are not too demanding physically. Otherwise if he's doing his best and truly not well, then why stress him out any further.

i know i wouldn't charge rent to anybody in my family but i would expect some kinda help,like buying groceries,paying hydro an stuff like that
