I think you have to be specific about which cramps you are refering to ie. stomach, leg, body etc...

Generally if you over exert pressure on your body muscles, you are bound to get cramps ie heavy spots, execessive exercise. Alternatively, doing nothing, being inactive can cause so serious muscle cramps.

"Avoidable Cramps" (leg, body) can be prevented/controlled by ;
1- drinking lots of liquids to remain hydrated.
2- keep your mineral balance in place by eating right kind of foods that contain
3- Doing manageble exercises ie. riding a bike, jogging or walking, stretches.

"Unavoidable cramps" (menstrual related) can be eased by;
1-take some pain killers (prescribed)
2- regular walking can make the suffering ease
3- Zinc, calcium, and B vitamins obtained in food and supplements have been found to reduce cramps, bloating, and other symptoms
4- A warm bath and if you can get a friend to give you a nice massage, this should help.

I suffer from really bad cramp in my feet, this usually happens when I exercise and from what I have found is mainly down to loss of salts and minerals from the body.
I went to see my doctor and he prescribed me Quinene tablets (not sure if this is spelled correctly) (this is also used to treat maleria!) it has worked really well and the cramps don't occur half as much a sthey used to.

Quinene is also present in Tonic water so you may want to start drinking this on a regular basis as there is only a very small amount present.
Hope this helps

each undertaking everybody else only reported is genuine. fairly stay hydrated, and don't consume too lots good earlier a race. additionally stretch out stable, and do a one million/2-an entire mile sluggish heat up. in case you do get a cramp, i in many situations only take short breaths in and deep breaths out. sounds loopy i be attentive to notwithstanding it works. additionally if its on your facet carry it tight consisting of your hand for style of 30 seconds to a minute. and final yet not least you additionally can fold your palms above your head, and only breath deep for slightly. a great number of the time i only choose for to run it out and not difficulty with it because of the fact it in many situations only is going away.
