My truck does not have that little spring loaded door in the fuel filler neck down inside that the gas nozzle pushes open. My understanding it's called a fuel inlet restrictor. Is this normal? My local Nissan service guy says that the Pathfinders do not have them.

because you only have 10k miles on your Pathfinder i will anticipate(ouch) a 2005 or more moderen type which makes use of a stress through twine (digital) accelerator. this gadget does no longer use a ordinary throttle cable setup, it makes use of an electric powered motor to flow the throttle in accordance to enter from the sensor on your footpedal. Your problem ought to lie everywhere in between those 2 units or on your engine computing gadget which overrides administration of the throttle lower than diverse driving situations. as far because the gasoline being low- gasoline injected autos do have a tendency to stall out without caution at the same time as they frame of mind empty. it would nicely be that your particular motor vehicle is somewhat gentle to low gasoline contained in the tank. My advice is proceed to stress it. If it takes position again pay very close interest to the situations ideal as a lot because the precedence and take it to the broker it would nicely be a bear in mind merchandise. (If the tank is close to to empty at the same time as it repeats you'll understand your Pathfinder is only very gentle to low gasoline.)
