Unless you need to serve them right away, it doesn't take long to put them into a strainer and dip them in hot water for just a few seconds, they heat up right away, just a matter of seconds.

Place the noodles into an aluminum pan with a cover....place that pan into another pan with water on the bottom...hopefully you have a stand that you can place both of them in and put sterno on the bottom..light the sterno and you are in business...But let me tell you...egg noodles can be cooked and then served with italian dressing cold!

there's this gadget... dunno what it's called, but it's basically it has a frame on legs to hold a metal containers. the outer container contains water and the inner container contains the food, and under it there's this little gas tank that produces flame. i think you should be able to rent one from a catering company for the occassion.

otherwise, get a stack-up steamer (a large saucepan with a detachable second pan that fits inside, it has a lot of holes to make way for the steam)... have the inner saucepan filled with hot water and keep it on the stove and you keep your noodles warm on the upper holey pan.

put your noodles in your colandar, set in pan you cooked noodles in (it should just sit on the edges, not down in the pan), put a little bit of water in the pan and set back on the stove on warm or very low.

You can use a chafing dish, if you have one. An oven on low heat, covered so the tops don't get crispy, or a large crock pot on low.
