It depends on the user, really. ANY website where people interact can be dangerous if not used correctly.
People need to be aware that whe they're posting to any site, they're posting to the whole world. You wouldn't tell a total stranger where you live, or give out your cell phone number to just anyone, so why do it on myspace (or anywhere else)?
But a lot of people don't realize that, and instead of taking steps to protect themselves and have fun, are posting their real names, cities, schools and all kinds of other personal information, and some pretty provocative photos to boot!!!

people make myspace dangerous not the site itself, it's like a weapon, knifes are dangerous but they have many useful purposes just like myspace, many people use it to download music, showcase videos, form religious groups, etc. However, it is common for people to be easily swayed by rapists and possible cerial killers, and most commonly gossip. The important part of this issue are the people who engage in these activities. The Real concern is How dangerous are the people on myspace? and how do we track them down.

my space is only as dangerous as u make it. but it can be if u don't watch out for your self there. the guy above me is right they have caught several pedophiles on there. but every body blames my space for that it's not their fault.those kids gave out info that they shouldn't have their parents should have told them the rules of the Internet. it's time to stop putting the blame on places like my space and PlayStation. and start putting the blame on the parents who aren't watching what their kids are doing on the net

its only dangerous if you make it. There are options to make your space public or private. If you choose private then only the people on your friends list can see you page. If anyone herasses you you can simply block them.

It's caused over 150 spontaneous decapitations this year alone, as well as over 300 defenstrations.....I'd say that's pretty dangerous......
