Vatican City is a "Christian nation" and a dictatorship. England was and is a monarchy that has a royal family to this day. As are many other European "Christian nations."

Why do Christians try to claim credit for the US Constitution and representative government when history proves that claim to be false?

To Will:

Democracies (in some form) were not uncommon prior to the fall of Rome. Which led to the "Holy Roman Empire" and subsequent dictatorships:

@ Will
read Plato and Aristotle to learn a bit about democracy.

How many non-Christian nations had representative democracy before the 18th century? China? No. Persia? No. Indian states? No.

Real democracy is a very rare and precious thing.

Too many people use the term Christian too loosely, especially politicians these days. People often neglect the fact that belief is supported by action & the actions of the "founding fathers" were anything but Christian. But, it's just the same today as it was back then.

Where have Christians made this claim? Besides, it's the Masons we have to thank for the U.S. Constitution.

If we cannot give credit to the Masons for the Constitution, maybe we shouldn't give credit to the Hawaii volcano's for making an island... it's been done before then. See? Does it make sense?
